List 5 things in your morning routine

I shared my typical everyday routines a couple of years ago and they're pretty much all the things I do right after I wake up.

I do a lot in the mornings, though, so I can easily come up with 5 additional tasks that I do once my feet hit the floor:

1.  Eat breakfast

I always eat breakfast, but some days it's more exciting than others. Usually the most exciting things to eat are really yummy leftovers from dinner the night before, but here are my other rise-and-shine favorites.

2.  Review Italian

Since Gv was born, I have tried not to completely lose all the Italian I worked so hard to learn after meeting G. I've managed to keep it all fresh enough so that whenever I get the chance to spend more time with it again, I should be able to get it all back pretty quickly. I do this by using this free app for a few minutes each day.

3.  Greet Gv

Speaking of Italian, G and I decided a while back to start integrating more Italian into Gv's day. He'll try to speak to her a bit only in Italian when he gets home from work, I usually let her watch a short cartoon in Italian sometime during the day, and then I make sure to greet her every morning with a cheery "Buongiorno. Come stai?" and "Ti amo, Gv."

4.  Read a devotional

Sometimes I'm spending this morning time reviewing a new book like this one, thisthis one or this, but otherwise my fallback is this classic.

5.  Blog maintenance

It's actually a lot of work to be a blogger. There are so many behind-the-scenes tasks that have to be done on a daily basis, so I try to check them off the list right of the bat each day so that I can get on with more exciting things.

If Gv sleeps in a bit, I'll try to get a blog post written before she wakes up, but usually I have to do that after everyone goes to bed.

For next week:

Ways to Track/Plan Everything

I'm a big planner, so I've got all sorts of ways that I do this. I can't wait to see what you share, because I'm always looking for ways to streamline things!

That's right, every post will be read, pinned and tweeted!

Every Saturday, just stop by one of our blogs to add your own list of five, then pop over and read as many other posts as you're able to each week - treat it like a true party and really mix it up and mingle with our fun little community!

The rules are simple:  just write your own list following the prompt each week (feel free to interpret it loosely - or in a unique way!), follow both of the hosts on the social media channel of your choice, and then get into the spirit of the party by grabbing your favorite beverage or snack and reading the lists of the other party-goers.
